How Does The Pinhole Technique Work?

Dr. Hawryluk follows the principle of “overcorrection,” gently positioning the gum tissue higher than its final expected position so it can settle naturally during healing.
Collagen strips are placed beneath the repositioned gum tissue to help maintain the desired position and create space for healthy tissue to form. The healing process can allow the gum to stabilize and develop healthy, keratinized tissue around the tooth.
